The SCL-3 is a custom in-wall loudspeaker designed primarily for use as an LCR behind projection screens or as a height channel in ceiling applications. It features JBL's patented 2409H 1-inch (25mm) compression driver mated to a High-Definition Imaging (HDI™) horn. Dual 5.25-inch (130mm) Advanced Aluminum Matrix cone cast-frame woofers provide detailed and dynamic response with low distortion. The integrated MDF enclosure is designed for installation in standard 2x6 wood frame construction, and Internal connections allow for bi-wiring or bi-amplification in advanced installations. The SCL-3 is ideal for use in medium to large rooms.

Features
- Two-way dual 5-¼-inch / 130mm driver configuration – ideal for wall or ceiling mount 5.8" (147mm) deep square footprint enclosure. This depth fits well in a 6" or deeper mounting space, wall or ceiling
- Can be mounted in any orientation for maximum application flexibility and performance
- Computer Optimized HDI Constant Directivity Horn with very smooth and predictable off-axis behaviour over a wide coverage area
- 2409H, 1-inch / 25mm annular ring Teonex® diaphragm compression driver with advanced HDI geometry horn
- Powerful cast-frame, Advanced Aluminum Matrix cone woofers with low-distortion neodymium motor structures
- Solid, wood enclosure installs behind drywall and provides optimized acoustic performance
- Unique Center-Mount feature clamps center of baffle to rear of MDF enclosure to greatly minimize unwanted baffle resonances
- Network is Bi-Wire and Bi-Amp capable using gold plated 5-way binding posts used on rear enclosure and baffle network assembly
- Zero-bezel, magnetically-attached grille can be painted to match decor
